The tour will provide an opportunity to visit the modern and prosperous capital – Astana and the cultural capital of Kazakhstan – Almaty. You will see not only unique masterpieces of architecture, but also get acquainted with the nature of Kazakhstan, having visited the Medeo skating rink, and the ski resort of Shymbulak.

Day 1

Almaty

Arrival in Almaty. Traditional welcome to the country with a warm and authentic greeting right at arrival gate. Check in at the hotel.

Day 2

Almaty

Almaty city sightseeing tour (Park of 28 Panfilov Heroes, Orthodox Cathedral, Central Mosque, Square with old parliament building, shopping at Green Bazaar).

Excursion to Kok-Tobe Park – one of the main symbols of Almaty city, located on the peak of Kok Tobe Mountain at an altitude of 1,100 m above sea level. You will ride the famous cable car, admiring the breath-taking views of the city but also enchanting panoramas of the foothills of Zailiysky Alatau Mountains. It is also a place where one of the tallest TV towers in the world is located, its height is 371.5 m, and together with the mountain it goes 1452 m above sea level. Here you also can visit the shop of national souvenirs.

Day 3

Almaty

Visit to the high-mountain Medeo sports complex and Shymbulak ski resort. Going by cable car ride to Shymbulak ski resort, you will have the opportunity to enjoy amazing views of the snowy peaks of Tien Shan. Shymbulak ski resort is located in the picturesque gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level.

Visiting the Big Almaty Lake which lies in a hollow like a gleaming mirror, surrounded on all sides by majestic peaks. On the way back visiting the Falcon Farm where you enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained birds of prey – hunting with them is one of the unique features of Kazakh nomads.

Day 4

Astana

Check out. Departure to the airport. Flight to Astana.

Arrival to Astana. Check in. Free time in the hotel. Sightseeing tour around the city. Visiting the old and the new parts of the city – walking along the riverside, monument to the founders of Kazakh khanate – Kerey and Zhanibek Khans.

Visiting Baiterek Monument – the symbol of the capital city. Visiting Hazret Sultan Mosque – the second biggest mosque in Central Asia. Visiting the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Day 5

Astana

Visiting Nur Alem Pavilion – the architectural symbol of Astana EXPO-2017. It is one of the world’s largest spherical building with the diameter of 80 m and height of 100 m. It is currently the Museum of Future Energy where each floor is dedicated to one specific type of renewable energy.

Free time in the afternoon. Guests can visit markets, shopping malls or other places of their own choice.

Ethno-cultural program during dinner. During this program, you will get acquainted with culture and art of the Great Kazakh steppe. Culinary workshop – learning the secrets of traditional culinary art – zhent and kurt. Workshop on making sazsyrnay – ancient Kazakh musical instrument. Workshop on building traditional home of nomads of the Great steppe – yurt. Guests are welcome to try on Kazakh national clothes and take photos. They enjoy the music played by national musical instruments and traditional Kazakh dances.

Check-Out Transfer to the airport. Flight back home.
